COMPANIONSHIP
Companion care is primarily emotional support and companionship for seniors who are generally healthy and who want to remain independent at home. However, it can also include a range of non-medical services that help make a senior's life more manageable.
CNA
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide intimate, hands-on healthcare to patients in medical settings, helping with bathing, dressing and the basic activities of life. A day in the life of
a CNA might also include: ... Documenting patients' health issues and report to nurses. CNA's duties are assigned by a registered professional nurse.
HHA
Home Health Aide Job Duties: Monitors patient condition by observing physical and mental condition, intake and output, and exercise. Supports patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household requirements; preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands.
LIVE-IN
Comes to the senior's home and stays around the clock. With live-in care, a caregiver is always watching over the senior and is ready to assist in all activities of daily living. Live-in care does not mean that the caregiver moves into the senior's home.
